FranklinWH aPower and aGate
The whole house keeps going.
FranklinWH builds batteries for one job: keeping the whole home running when the grid goes down. Each aPower holds 15 kWh, and the aGate switches your house onto them in under 16 milliseconds. Every Franklin system we install comes with its aGate.

Why we fit FranklinWH
Backup that feels like nothing happened.
Most batteries back up a few chosen circuits. FranklinWH is built the other way around: the aGate sits at the switchboard and carries the whole house, up to 80 A, so the fridge, the lights, the pump and the power points all stay on.
It works with the solar you have, or new panels on their own inverter, and the FranklinWH app shows every kWh. We see it too, so a fault alert comes to us before you notice anything.
- Premium range in our designer
- Add aPowers as you need them, up to 225 kWh on one aGate
- Generator ready with the optional generator module

Straight answers
Questions we get asked.
Something not here? Ring or text 0468 179 539 any hour and ask.
Does it need a separate solar inverter?
Yes. The aPower is AC coupled, so the panels run through their own inverter into the aGate. If you already have solar, it usually stays. On a new system we quote the inverter with it.
Will one battery run my whole house?
It keeps every circuit live, but one aPower supplies 5 kW at a time, so a ducted air conditioner, the oven and the kettle all at once is too much. Two give you 10 kW. We size it to what you want running in a blackout.
Does it need the internet?
For the full 12 year warranty, yes. If it stays offline for more than 90 days after FranklinWH asks you to reconnect, cover drops to 4 years. We connect it on install day.
It's 185 kg. Where does it go?
On a solid wall or on the floor, inside or out, since it is IP67. We work out the spot with you before install day.
