AIKO Neostar
Panels with nothing on the front.
On a normal panel, silver wires run across the front of every cell and shade it. AIKO moved all of them to the back. The front is clear glass over pure silicon, so more light becomes power, and the panel looks like a sheet of black glass.

SolarQuotes installers' choice for best panel
Why we fit AIKO
The most power from the roof you've got.
Roof space is the limit on most homes. With up to 25% efficiency, AIKO's Neostar panels put more watts on the same few square metres than any other panel we fit, and they lose less of it on a hot afternoon.
Australian installers voted AIKO the best solar panel in SolarQuotes' Installer's Choice survey in 2025 and again in 2026. AIKO's Australian office is in Melbourne's CBD.
- Premium range in our designer
- All black: black cells, black frame, black back
- Rated for 40 mm hail on the 54 cell panels

Straight answers
Questions we get asked.
Something not here? Ring or text 0468 179 539 any hour and ask.
Is AIKO worth the extra?
If your roof is small, or you want the neatest looking array, yes: you get more kW on the same roof and a panel that looks like black glass. If you have room to spare, Jinko or TW Solar give you the kW for less.
Does it really handle shade better?
AIKO designs its cells to lose less when part of a panel is shaded, and makes a lot of that claim. Others in the industry debate how much it adds on a real roof, so we design around shade first and treat any gain as a bonus.
Which AIKO panel will I get?
Usually the Neostar 3S54 all black, around 490 W. On a wide roof the larger 3S60 can fit more power in fewer panels. Your design shows the one we've picked.
What if a panel fails?
Under warranty, our licensed electricians replace it at no cost to you and we deal with AIKO.
