United Solar Energy is in liquidation. What owners can do now

United Solar Energy of Hallam was wound up in March 2025 and expelled from the industry code. Who the liquidator is and what owners can do.

United Solar Energy, the Hallam company established in 2009, went into liquidation on 21 March 2025. Its website was still loading when we checked, which is exactly why owners can be misled. The company behind it is being wound up, whatever its site says.

What the records show

We read these on 4 November 2026:

  • Solar Victoria lists United Solar Group Pty Ltd as ineligible for its program from 5 March 2025
  • an ASIC notice shows that at a meeting on 21 March 2025 the members resolved to wind up the company and appointed David Mark Mutton of DM Advisory & Co as liquidator
  • SolarQuotes reports the company was expelled from the New Energy Tech Consumer Code on 15 April 2025 for failing to cooperate with the Code Administrator's investigation

ABN Lookup still showed the ABN as active, which can lag. The company also held names including SunPlan Energy and Solar Warrior, so check your paperwork for those.

Who to contact

The liquidator is care of DM Advisory & Co, Level 30, 35 Collins Street, Melbourne, on (03) 9101 8535 or admin@dmadvisory.com.au. If you are owed money, tell them in writing.

Your warranties

SolarQuotes lists Winaico, Suntech and other panels, and Delta, Fronius, SMA, Enphase, SolarEdge and Growatt inverters against United Solar Energy. Check your own gear and contact the maker directly about anything inside its warranty period, as Consumer Affairs Victoria advises when a seller is insolvent.

Delta inverters come up most often in the reviews we read. If yours is an older unit, check whether it is still reporting and ask the maker what cover remains.

The workmanship warranty came from the company, so do not count on it. Consumer Affairs Victoria on 1300 558 181 can tell you what options remain.

Our general guide has the rest of the steps: what to do when a solar installer closes.

Questions

The United Solar Energy website still works. Is it still trading?

A website can stay up long after a company stops. The ASIC notice shows the company in liquidation since March 2025, and SolarQuotes says it appears to be out of business.

Who fixes my United Solar Energy system?

Any licensed electrician who works on solar can check it and tell you whether the fault is in a product or the workmanship.

If it is time for something new

If your system has reached the end or you want a battery, you can design it on your own roof and see a real installed price. We cannot take on United Solar Energy's contracts or workmanship warranty.

Is something here wrong or out of date? Email gday@eucalypt.solar and we will check it and fix it.
