Cyanergy is in liquidation. What owners can do now
Cyanergy of Truganina went into liquidation in March 2026. Who the liquidators are, what happens to warranties, and what to do about a deposit.

Cyanergy, the Truganina solar, battery and energy upgrade company, went into liquidation on 16 March 2026. If it installed your system, the system keeps running and the warranties from the makers of your gear are separate from Cyanergy. If you paid a deposit for work that never happened, the clock matters more, so start there.
What the records show
We read these on 4 November 2026:
- an ASIC notice shows that at a meeting on 16 March 2026 the members of Cyanergy Pty Ltd resolved to wind up the company and appointed Liam Bellamy and John Kukulovski of Mackay Goodwin as liquidators
- later ASIC notices, up to August 2026, show meetings of creditors and of a committee of inspection
- the Essential Services Commission says Cyanergy has entered external administration and is no longer operating, and it has cancelled the company's Victorian Energy Upgrades accreditation
- Solar Victoria lists Cyanergy as ineligible for its program from 24 March 2026
- the company's website no longer answers, and Solar Directory archived its listing in August 2026
Some records have not caught up. ABN Lookup still showed the ABN as active when we checked, and Google still listed the business as open. The liquidator's notice is the record to rely on.
Who to contact
The liquidators are at Mackay Goodwin, 16/90 Collins Street, Melbourne, on (03) 8657 2857. The ASIC notice names Ted Osborne as the contact person. The Essential Services Commission gives cyanergy@mackaygoodwin.com.au for customers who engaged Cyanergy for Victorian Energy Upgrades work.
If you paid a deposit
Tell the liquidators what you paid and what you were promised, in writing, and keep a copy. Ask your bank or card provider about a chargeback at the same time, because time limits apply. Consumer Affairs Victoria says you may be able to claim as an unsecured creditor, but unsecured creditors often get back only part of what they are owed, or nothing.
If you had a rebate application or a quote with Cyanergy, Solar Victoria's customer service line on 1300 376 393 can tell you where it stands.
If your system is already installed
Product warranties. Consumer Affairs Victoria says that if a product has a written warranty and is still inside the warranty period, you should contact the manufacturer directly when the business that sold it is insolvent. SolarQuotes lists many brands against Cyanergy, including Jinko, LONGi, Trina and JA Solar panels, and Fronius, Sungrow, GoodWe, Sigenergy and Solis inverters. Check your own labels rather than rely on that list.
Workmanship. Cyanergy's own workmanship warranty came from the company, so do not count on it. If you have a real workmanship problem, ring Consumer Affairs Victoria on 1300 558 181.
Heat pumps and air conditioners. Cyanergy also installed hot water heat pumps and air conditioning. The same split applies: go to the maker about the product, and the liquidators about anything you are still owed.
Monitoring. Check that you can still log in to your inverter's app. If the account sits under a Cyanergy email address, ask the maker how to move it to your own.

Questions
Is Cyanergy still trading?
No. The Essential Services Commission says it is no longer operating, and ASIC's notices show it in liquidation. An active ABN or an open Google listing does not change that.
Will I get my Cyanergy deposit back?
Nobody can promise that. Register what you are owed with the liquidators, ask your bank about a chargeback, and ask Consumer Affairs Victoria what else is open to you.
Who fixes a fault on a Cyanergy system?
Any licensed electrician who works on solar can check it. If a product has failed inside its warranty, the maker decides how the claim is handled, so ask who pays the labour before the work starts.
If you still need a system or a battery
If your job was never finished, you can design a system on your own roof and see a real installed price, with no sales visit. We cannot take on Cyanergy's contracts or its workmanship warranty, as those belonged to Cyanergy.
