Sky Energy has closed. What owners can do now
Sky Energy of Keysborough has gone into administration and stopped trading. Another company now owns its web addresses but took on none of its warranties.

Sky Energy, the Keysborough solar and battery company, has gone into administration and stopped trading. If you visit its old web address you land on a notice from a different business, Wise Energy, which owns the domain names and nothing else. That is the part owners most need to understand: nobody has taken on Sky Energy's promises.
What the records show
We read these on 4 November 2026:
- the notice at skyenergy.com.au says Sky Energy "has gone into administration and ceased trading", and that its staff, phone numbers and email addresses are no longer monitored
- Wise Energy says on that page that it bought only the domain names, and "did not buy Sky Energy's business, contracts or warranty obligations"
- ASIC company data shows Sky Energy Investments Pty Ltd and Sky Energy Production Pty Ltd under external administration
- Google lists the Keysborough premises as permanently closed
What this means for your warranties
Sky Energy systems, including the SkyBox off grid system, are built from parts made by other companies. Each maker has its own warranty. SolarQuotes lists Seraphim and other panels, and Sungrow, SMA, Deye, Redback and Fronius inverters against Sky Energy, along with LG Chem batteries.
Photograph the label on each piece of gear, without removing any covers, and contact each maker directly. Consumer Affairs Victoria says that is the right step while a product is inside its warranty period and the seller is insolvent.
Sky Energy's own workmanship warranty came from Sky Energy. Do not count on it, and do not assume a new company answering on an old web address has taken it on. Consumer Affairs Victoria on 1300 558 181 can tell you what options remain.
If you paid a deposit, ask ASIC's records or Consumer Affairs Victoria who the administrator is, tell them what you are owed, and ask your bank about a chargeback straight away.
Our general guide has the rest of the steps: what to do when a solar installer closes.
Questions
Is Wise Energy the same company as Sky Energy?
No. Wise Energy says it has no relationship with Sky Energy and receives nothing from its administration.
Will my SkyBox stop working?
A company closing does not switch a system off. Check your monitoring app works, and ask the battery and inverter makers which functions rely on an online service.
If you are looking at something new
For a grid connected home, you can design a system on your own roof and see a real installed price. Off grid homes are a job for an off grid specialist, as we do not design those ourselves. We cannot take on Sky Energy's contracts or warranties.
