Solar Dynamics has closed. What owners can do now
Solar Dynamics of Mordialloc, one of Melbourne's better known installers, was deregistered in November 2025. What that means for owners and their warranties.

Solar Dynamics, the family run installer at Mordialloc, was one of the better known names in Melbourne's south east, with more than 350 reviews and thousands of systems behind it. Its company was deregistered in November 2025. If your system came from Solar Dynamics, it still runs, and the makers' warranties still stand on their own terms.
What the records show
We read these on 4 November 2026:
- SolarQuotes notes Solar Dynamics has been reported as out of business, and said in May 2025 that its own investigation pointed the same way
- Solar Directory archived its listing in September 2025
- ASIC company data shows Solar Dynamics Pty Ltd deregistered on 5 November 2025
- ABN Lookup shows its ABN cancelled on 11 November 2025
- Google lists its Governor Road premises as permanently closed
We found no notice of a liquidator or administrator, so this reads as a business that stopped trading and closed its company. We have seen nothing on why.
Your warranties
With so many systems over so many years, the gear varies a lot. SolarQuotes lists Jinko, Canadian Solar, Trina and Suntech panels, Fronius, Sungrow, SolarEdge, Enphase, GoodWe and Redback inverters, and BYD, Fronius and Pylontech batteries. Fronius inverters appear most often in its reviews.
Read your own labels, then ask each maker how much warranty is left and who pays for the labour. Consumer Affairs Victoria says to contact the manufacturer directly when the seller is insolvent and a written warranty is still running.
The company's workmanship warranty is a different matter. It came from Solar Dynamics, so do not count on it. Consumer Affairs Victoria on 1300 558 181 can tell you what options remain.
The other steps are in our general guide: what to do when a solar installer closes.
Questions
Is Solar Dynamics still trading?
The public records say no. Its company was deregistered on 5 November 2025 and its ABN cancelled six days later.
My Solar Dynamics monitoring has stopped. What now?
Log in to the inverter or battery maker's app, not an installer's portal. If the account was set up under a Solar Dynamics email address, ask the maker to move it to yours.
Can another company take over my warranty?
Another electrician can check and repair your system, but cannot take on Solar Dynamics' own workmanship warranty.
If you are thinking about a battery
If you want to store your daytime solar for the evening, you can tick "I already have solar" and price a battery on your own roof, with no sales visit. We cannot take on the old workmanship warranty.
